I won’t lie. I was looking forward to a lovely day with an outdoor wedding in the awesome little town of Cape May, NJ. I think the bride was too (haha). That just wasn’t going to happen, so I didn’t panic and I was elated to see that the bride was calm and cool about it too. Want to know why? Because her head was in the right place. Her focus was on the fact that she was marrying her soul-mate and best friend today and the weather wasn’t going to stop that.
They followed tradition and he didn’t see her until she was walking down the isle and once the two of them were together, I could see why she didn’t care about the weather. They didn’t leave each other’s side the whole night. This was a couple that really focused on the love they have for each other and nothing else was as important as that.
One of my absolute favorite moments at a wedding so far was when the bride’s father surprised her. He came out dressed as Axel Rose to sing “Sweet Child O’ Mine” to her. He put on one hell of a show. Yes, it may look like she was crying, but those are tears from laughing.
Once the party ensued…
Well, everyone had an awesome time at the reception. I think everyone was on the dance floor at the The Chalfonte Hotel. I think a few floorboards may have broken by the end of the night.
